When you own a vehicle, you want to make it look good and protect it.  Regular washing and waxing of your car will protect it and keep it looking new.  While washing and waxing a vehicle used to be a chore, it is not so anymore.  This allows you to make your Caldina Wagon look spiffy for those family trips in half the time it used to take.  And if you have a Corona Premio for sale, you no longer have to spend hours trying to get it looking great before someone comes to see it.

The newer waxes and polishes that are on the market combined with high speed orbital polishers have helped cut back the intensity of hand waxing your vehicle.  If your Hiace Wagon or a Japanese car is faded with time, it will still take some serious elbow grease to get that luster back.  The key to keeping your paint job from fading is to wash and wax your vehicle regularly.  With regular washing and waxing you cut down your waxing time every time you do this to your car.  Wax does not last long on a vehicle, so in order to keep your vehicle shiny you want to wax it again before the first coat has completely disappeared.

You also have a choice in the levels of protection and wear you choose to put on your car.  Waxes come in a variety of different types and that includes synthetic wax and associative compounds.  By using one of these high quality waxes on your car you should be able to go three to six months between full polishes and waxing.  If you want to minimize any form of damage to your car’s paint job, wash it weekly and try to wax and polish it once a month.

How often you need to wax your vehicle will depend on how much exposure it gets to the elements and the environment you keep it in.  Extreme weather and specifically heat can quickly reduce a strong wax coating on your car if it is parked outside and not in a garage where it is kept cool.  While you will never see the wax melting off you car, this is basically what is happening.  As the wax disappears, the paint is exposed to the sun and this will cause it to eventually fade.

You can use the easy on and off waxes that are available to help protect your vehicle, but they are not a substitute for a good washing, polish, and waxing job.  Just like you change the oil, wax and wash your car on a regular basis.  This will help your car stay new looking and help protect it from the ravages of time.
